A self-evaluation was carried out by means of a 30-item questionnaire in a study that lasted two years. All the data obtained were processed by inferential descriptive statistics whose results showed in the preparation for learning. It was possible to identify the level of preparation, evaluation of apprenticeships. While with respect to the development of professionalism and teaching identity, aspects were identified that are of interest from the justification of the need to always develop professionalism and teaching identity. The statistical results made it possible to establish a program based on the critical reflective approach to improve teaching performance in this educational institution, a proposal that is both generalizable and pertinent.
