Autorenporträt
George Davenport is a graduate of West Point, class of 1963. He spent six years in the US Army Corps of Engineers, serving primarily in Germany and Vietnam. There he learned the trade of project management in the trenches, so to speak. For thirty-two years, he was an engineer for P&G (aka Pack and Go), and for twenty of those years, he was a Project Manager. A number of P&G brands, with further upgrades, are still being produced from his projects. If you use "Puffs Plus," "Ultra Dawn," or "Ultra Tide," you've benefitted from those projects. On the other hand, several other projects were not successful in the marketplace, and they have other places in his stories. He is transitioning into a new career; a low-priced speaker on the rubber-chicken circuit. The book will be used as part of the program that he is developing to make the role of project manager more understandable to the average consumer. He has five grown children and ten grandchildren, spread around the globe. He lives with his wife, Linda, in Signal Mountain, Tennessee-ever open to the possibility of another project.
