Throughout the last decades, the advent of technology has brought several changes to the methods and instrumentation of geomatics & surveying. Nowadays, many new tools and techniques for the acquisition and treatment of field data have been developed. Because of these advances, the programs of the School of Geomatics and Surveying Engineering (SGIT) have known important adjustments and progress that can be summarized in three main phases: 1. 1970-1988: four-year program, 2. 1988-2005: six-year program, 3. 2005: five-year program. This book attempts to describe the evolution of the training curriculum of this School, taking into account the professional aspects and newly developed methods in geomatics and surveying. It also aims to explain in detail how the teaching programs have progressed since 1970, but will emphasize on the period of ten years from 2005 to 2015.

Doktor der Wissenschaften (1999), Magister der Geodäsie (1986), Vermessungsingenieur (1979). Derzeit ist er außerordentlicher Professor an der Schule für SGIT, IAV, Rabat. 1979-2015: Professor und Forscher im Bereich Geodäsie, Vermessung und GIS. Ehemaliger Direktor SGIT, Betreuer von Dissertationen, Teilnehmer an nationalen und internationalen Konferenzen. Veröffentlichungen in den Bereichen GIS, Geodäsie und Kataster.
