Garlic is the most important cash crop of Nepal grown in all climatic conditions expect hottest region(Terai) and coldest region(mountain) of Nepal. A study entitled "Production techniques and marketing of green garlic Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, Bhaktapur district" was conducted from December,2016 to April, 2017, using a semi-structured questionnaire. A total of 100 respondent farmers were selected and interviewed. Majority of the respondent were found to sale their products at nearby local markets viz. Kaushaltar, Ghattagar, Kamalbinayak ,Thimi and Patan. The main problem were irrigation and yellowing of leaves and other several microbial diseases. Involvement of male farmers was higher than female farmer in marketing of green garlic. The benefit cost ratio was found less than 3.5. Thus the farmers needed activities to upgrade the knowledge and skill on garlic production, pests and disease management as well as marketing. Training and support(governmental, organizational and institutional) should be provided to all the farmers involved in garlic farming. They should be encouraged to cultivate improved variety as will as local variety along with the good technical support.
