This book summarizes on product development from an engineering perspective to identify coverage and gaps in commonly used product development process models. As a result, a heterogeneous landscape of models describing the process is found. A comparative framework illustrating the emphasis and the scope of product development process models from different perspectives has been derived for our approach. Accordingly, we discovered three areas (product development management, simultaneous development and information management) which are so far underrepresented in product development process models. The comparative study - Is found that the cost can be reduced by upset forging process without compromise the quality the additional benefits are lead time reduction, low cost and improvement in quality. The make or buy analysis suggest that company should buy the upset forging form outside vendor development and their training is also taken a part of product development through supplierdevelopment work, quality supplier will fulfill the requirements like on time delivery improved quality, continuous improvement, cost effectiveness and productivity improvement.
