Soybean [Glycine Max (L.)] is one of the important kharif crops mainly growing in Madhya Pradesh along with many states of India. In Madhya Pradesh 5134 thousand hectares area was found under soybean with the total production of 5855 thousand tones and average productivity of 1140 kg/hectare in the year of 2012. Madhya Pradesh is the largest soybean growing state in India and it alone contributes about 72 per cent and 65 percent of the total area and total production of India.
