Autorenporträt
Patricia Popow-Trost, Patti Popow for short, worked as a nursery school teacher, a film production manager, a travel agent and an employee in the Cultural Office in Berlin. She has been a freelance make-up artist since 2000 and lives with her husband in Norddeich, by the North Sea. Despite her son being a grown up man now she still vividly remembers all the funny stories she had made up for him. Patti Popow likes to let her imagination run wild and loves to dive into completely unknown worlds. "Princess Laya and the wild Ghost Party" is her first children's book and the start of a series about Princess Laya and her adventures. Kathrin Lauckner illustrated and layouted the story. Given complete artistic freedom and finding an open ear for ideas, edits and colours she was able to pour her heart into Layäs first adventure. Her interest in telling visual and empowering stories has driven her since she was a toddler herself. She lives at the baltic sea and works as a freelance illustrator and visual storyteller.
