To achieve this objective, we used statistical, analytical, and descriptive methods accompanied by documentary, interview, and sampling techniques, as well as a survey questionnaire. With regard to the demographic causes of late attendance of mothers at the first prenatal consultation in the Murara health area, 100% of the women responded that age could be the reason for late attendance at ANC (see Table 11). 52.1% of the women said that the marital status of the pregnant woman could be the reason for late attendance at ANC; 7.5% said that unmarried women come late to the ANC because they are afraid of being seen; 37.5% said it was because of a lack of confidentiality on the part of the health personnel and 25% said it was because they were afraid of being expelled from school (see table n°14).
