The present study aims to predict different dimensions of self esteem (general, social, family, physical, and educational) based on the five major personality factors, namely Neuroticism, Extraversion, Experiences, Agreeableness and Consciousness. The type of research is descriptive correlational. The statistical population is comprised of all second grade high school students of Shiraz in the academic year 2017-2018. A multistage cluster sampling method was used to select 250 students (125 girls and 125 boys) who were then evaluated using the NEO Personality Index and Cooper smith Self-esteem log. The results from multivariate regression analysis showed that, among all personality traits, only the Neuroticism factor is capable of predicting public self- esteem and also the other (Family, Educational, Physical and Social) aspects of self-esteem as a negative forecaster. Meanwhile, Extroversion, Experiences, Agreeability and Consciousness can predict Public, Social and Educationalself-esteem positively.
