The main purpose of the monograph "Pre-university Education in Post-Communist Albania 1992-2013" is to inform readers about the developments of the reform process of pre-university education after the overthrow of the communist regime in Albania. The analysis of the broken matter is embedded according to these main lines: the description of the beginnings of transition involving the period 1992-1997, such as the period of major overturns, which occurred after a long period of depolitisation of school; the introduction of reform strategies initiated by the World Bank in support of the education policies undertaken by the Albanian governments and the achievements of the period 1998-2005; designing the European future and integrating education into the common strategies of the EC countries as part of the inclusive education initiative 2005-2009; and, finally, highlighting the potential impacts that educational development and reform play in building a future society. The selection of the issues that we have attempted to draw in this work is dictated first of all by an almost absent state of historical treatments and studies with the object of educational developments in this period.
