Lisa Mayo, RDH, BSDH, MHA Lisa Dowst-Mayo LISA MAYO, RDH, BSDH, MHA (214) 532-7624 lmayo@concorde.edu www.lisamayordh.com Lisa Mayo graduated from the Caruth School of Dental Hygiene at Baylor College of Dentistry magna cum laude with a Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene in 2002 then completed a Master's in Healthcare Administration in 2016 from Ohio University graduating magna cum laude. She's currently enrolled in a PhD program for Healthcare Administration with Franklin University. She has published 37 written articles, peer-review, and continuing education courses since 2007 for the Canadian Dental Journal, Dental Economics, Dimensions of Dental Hygiene, Access, RDH, Penn Well and Dental Learning and is the lead author of three subjects (Radiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology) for a dental hygiene national board review book with Dental Hygiene Academy. She has taught more than 30 live online webinars and over 200 in-class continuing education courses for medical and dental professionals. She has taught to both international and national audiences for Dentsply Sirona, Colgate-Palmolive and free-lance since 2006. Lisa practiced full time clinical hygiene for both general and periodontal practices for 12 years. She then transitioned into a full-time dental hygiene professor for Concorde Career College San Antonio, TX where she taught Preclinical Sciences, Advanced Clinician Sciences, Special Needs, Pharmacology, Research, Radiology, Periodontology, Advanced Periodontology, and National Board Review. During this time, she also worked free-lance sales for Forward Science providing advanced oral cancer screening devises and pharmaceutical products to dental professionals. She then became a dental hygiene program director for Concorde Career College San Antonio and stayed in that role for 3.5 years before transitioning to a National Clinical Educator with Dentsply Sirona. Lisa worked as a Preventive Clinical Educator covering the western half of the United States for a year and half and then left the company to return to teaching at Concorde Career College in Dallas, TX.
