La dott.ssa V.Sunitha ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Geochimica Applicata presso l'Università di Osmania, Telangana, India; ha conseguito il master in Geologia presso l'Università Sri Venkateswara, Tiruapti, e ha ricevuto la borsa di studio postdottorale Raman dalla University Grants Commission, UGC, e il premio Young Scientist dal Dipartimento di Scienza e Tecnologia, DST, India.
