Offering pluralistic perspectives, this book examines the patient experience and patient care in the context of postmodern and poststructural approaches. It explores the ways in which these approaches can be used to inform us about health care; the practical aspects of proposing and carrying out research projects using these approaches; and the "intellectual journey" required to come to grips with their meaning and application.
