Autorenporträt
Born in Charleston, SC, as a daughter of a naval office, real estate consultant, Shakeima Chatman split her childhood between Charleston and Virginia Beach, Virginia. After high school, she attended South Carolina State University where she majored in Elementary Education. In her professional career, Shakeima has served in several roles in education, corporate training, and software consulting before starting her real estate career. As the owner of The Chatman Group, her mission is to make the American Dream a reality for all individuals. Her real estate career also affords her the flexibility to develop and nurture her true passion and vision: mentoring teenage girls through her nonprofit organization, D.I.V.A.S In Training whose mission is to bring out the moral excellence in teenage girls so that they can aspire for success, power and honor. Recognized as a REALTOR(R) of Distinction by her local real estate board, Shakeima is a member of the South Carolina Trident Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Possessing the Accredited Buyer Representative Designation and the Military Relocation Professional Certification, distinguishes her as a real estate consultant and not just a real estate sales agent. Each week she provides the community with information on the real estate market as the host of her radio show, Possess the Land, featured on Kinetic HiFi I, a local, online talk radio station based in Charleston, South Carolina. A member of Royal Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston, South Carolina, she volunteers with The Royal Foundation and teaches the teens class in the church's youth church services. Her volunteer commitments have included serving as the President for the Jenkins Institute for Children's Advisory Board and serving as a member of the Virginia College Business Advisory Board. Shakeima shares her life with her husband, Andre Chatman and 8 year old daughter Kendyl.
