This book contains the content of the study conducted to investigate political education as a determinant of university students' political participation in South Africa. It provides empirical insights into the nature and agents of political education as well as the extent of university students' participation in campus and national politics. The interesting findings of my study yielded the proposal for a holistic and purposeful political education curriculum framework with a view to fostering an increased participation of university students in the political processes in South Africa. The ambition of this author is to promote the teaching and learning of political education as a standalone module or course of study which would be offered compulsorily to all undergraduate students in South Africa. This is the way to solve the political participation deficit among the youth in South Africa.
