This research was carried out with the purpose of interpreting the view of police actors and gender equity in the framework of citizen security within the Autonomous Institute of Municipal Police of Girardot. The matrix line covered by this study is Police Science and Citizenship, referring to the potential line Human Rights and Progressive and Differentiated Use of the Police Force. The research is framed in a post-positivist paradigm, with an epistemic perspective and an interpretative approach. Four key informants were chosen, who were identified with the following pseudonyms: Manuela Sáenz, Luisa Cáceres, Josefa Camejo and María Concepción Bolívar. Unstructured interviews and participant observation will be used to collect the information; this process will be completed with the categorization and triangulation of the results. This project will enter the approval phase and then will be disseminated in the community in search of results that could benefit society.Descriptors: gender equity, labor situation, male and female civil servants.
