Born in the Bronx, Carolyn Luger Vermes holds a B.A. degree from New York University and an M.A. degree from Yeshiva University. She taught mathematics in the Westchester School System and studied voice with Mme. Herta Sperber in Manhattan until the birth of her first son.Carolyn has drawn inspiration for her lyrics from the impactful experiences of family, friends, co- workers, persons in the news, as well as from spiritual concepts and her own imagination. Her melodies come from somewhere, within.She currently resides in New York State, where she continues to produce her uplifting words and music.
