Autorenporträt
Jimi Sheryl Bufkin was born in Fort Worth, Texas. Jimi has resided in the Reno/Sparks, Nevada, area for fifty-six years. She has three adult grandsons and a daughter, Monique, who resides in Tracy, California. At age seventy-one, she has now self-published six books. Jimi's love affair with words and the color purple has made her one of Reno's most recognizable poets. She is a resident of Brookdale Independent Senior living in Sparks. Jimi writes about homelessness, love not found, loneliness, and love for her fellow human beings. She hopes to leave a legacy with her poetry. Writing is her outlet for stress-that, and watching Judge Judy on TV. Donating all her publications to local libraries, she wants everyone to be able to savor the message in her work.
