About the author Benedict Bender conducts research on digital platforms and business ecosystems. The strategic design of platforms to motivate participants to contribute is a major challenge and subject of his research. He also deals with innovative business models, Industry 4.0, and IT security and privacy. He studied Information Systems at the University of Potsdam, the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, and the University of St. Gallen.
