Carlo Collodi is the pseudonym of Carlo Lorenzini, Italian journalist and writer, known worldwide for his work Pinocchio. He frequented revolutionary environments and intervened in the two wars of Italian independence, the first in 1848 and the second in 1859. Between both wars he wrote his first literary works that were published in the satirical newspaper Il Lampione and achieved fame in 1856 with his novel Il Vapore, its many political articles also help you in this regard. In 1875 he began to write children's literature and in 1880 began to publish weekly in Il Giornale dei Bambini (the first newspaper for children in Italy) Storia di un burattino (Story of a puppet), also called Bambinino otherwise known as Pinocchio.
