Produktbeschreibung
Here are 53 Baroque pieces composed for the Mandora but arranged for the Low G Ukulele in tablature and modern notation. There are at least 55 sources of mandora music in tablature, all in mostly anonymous manuscript format, and nearly all of Germanic origin. These contain solos, duets, song accompaniments, and chamber music most of which were composed in the 18th century. The music in this book was transcribed into modern notation and tablature from the Digital Collection of the Baden State Library in Karlsruhe. Most of these compositions were well known in Germany during this period and appeared in many different versions for a variety of instruments. Few studies have appeared and very little of the music has been transcribed and published. Many have no composers attributed but in recent years studies of concordances are beginning to uncover music by composers such as Silvius Leopold Weiss who was arguably the greatest lutenist of the Baroque era and Johann Anton Logy.
