Last year I retired from a career spanning forty years, working on three continents, mostly in the oil business. PICNIC IN IRAQ, although fiction, draws inspiration from seven years I spent operating in Baghdad and the incidents in the story have been based on actual experiences. Of course artistic licence has been taken to make the book entertaining. I have a prequel & sequel in my head and once PICNIC IN IRAQ takes off, will undertake the next project.
