Autorenporträt
Mr Rajen Gupta, B Med Sci., BMBS., MRCP., FRCOphth completed his undergraduate training at Nottingham University. Following his qualification in 1994, he has had a broad exposure to general medicine, neurosurgery, and acute medicine. Mr Gupta subsequently undertook post-graduate ophthalmic training in Nottingham and Birmingham before completing a Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. In 2008, Mr Gupta joined the Newcastle Eye Centre located at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. His interests include diabetic retinopathy, vascular disorders as well as age-related macular degeneration.  He also has a keen interest in andragogy and its application in teaching ophthalmology. This has been acknowledged as contributing to the high post graduate ophthalmic exam success rate in the region and helping trainees to develop essential cataract surgery skills.
