The present research relates to the performance improvement of an existing dewatering technology known as screen bowl centrifuge. The ability to produce low product moisture content and the relatively low dewatering cost has resulted in the wide-spread use of screen bowl centrifuge in the coal preparation plants. The main goal of the present investigation presented in the book was to investigate on how to improve upon the clean coal recovery performance of a screen bowl centrifuge while maintaining low product moisture content. In addition investigation was also done to understand the ultra-fine size classification performance of a screen bowl centrifuge.
