The project produce a simulation based study on the analyses of routing protocols for evaluating the performance with variable network size and changing traffic types in wireless mesh network using two different networkmodels. OPNET simulator is used as a tool for performance evaluation of routing protocol in a variable mesh network. Steps involved in setting up the network are: Step-1 is to model a small mesh network in OPNET. Step-2 is to configure both routing protocols in mesh network. Build and run the simulation. In comparison, performance metrics like: network delay, load and network throughput using ftp (high traffic) which are global performance metrics for both routing protocols. The performance metrics are different for each routing protocols i.e. AODV metrics are: number of hops per route, traffic sent/received. For OLSR, the metrics are MPR status, traffic sent/received. Build graphs and write about the comparison in analysis and results.
