Nalo Hopkinson: yardie by birth, Canuck by citizenship, thing-maker by occupation. She has published numerous novels and short stories. Her novel Sister Mine (2013) received the Norton Award for young adult science fiction and fantasy. She's currently completing Blackheart Man, an historical fantasy set in an alternate Caribbean.
