Autorenporträt
Lisa is an unknown musician; her debut poetry book has been unintentionally in the making for over two decades, since the time she started writing songs in her late teens.Born in South Australia; grown up living in several different towns, (with her family moving house countless times), they finally settled in Adelaide. Married and a mother to two teenage boys, Lisa got busy working for a living and spending precious spare moments with family and friends. Dreams of recording her original songs were put to the side and subsequently never eventuated; but writing continued and a few years ago, out of nowhere, the idea of writing a poetry book came to life.Being a deep thinker, inspiration for songs and poems came from everywhere - personal life experience, news reports, a meme, or a story shared with her. Lisa's writings and play with words come naturally, flowing freely and easily from her thinking about something she cares about deeply. Being quiet and softly spoken, she has just realised that being a writer suits her perfectly. Sharing her thoughts to the world on subjects that would otherwise be taboo, controversial or sadly forgotten, is nerving; acknowledging that not everyone will agree with her views.Lisa feels that it is important to share our feelings, to share our stories and to stand up for what we believe. We all have a voice that is made to be heard; her poetic words, she hopes will inspire and help others in some way.
