The peacemaking perspective in criminology claims that in order to solve crime both an individual and societal transformation is needed. This book argues that this perspective has the potentiality to bridge the gap between peacebuilding practice and peacemaking criminology. Both concepts are therefore first studied into detail and were subject of an elaborate evaluation concerning methods, aims and views on conflict resolution. This way, the book aims to stimulate a dialogue between criminologists and anyone who studies the issue of peacebuilding.
