Whip Rawlings is an educator trainer and has written six books for the prison and jail programs. After serving ten years in the Marine Corps, he returned to the civilian world to study at California State University, Sacramento, in the field of social work. He returned to school years later to study in a dual-degree program. He earned a second bachelor's degree in education, a master's degree, and a teaching credential and administrator's credential.
