"Peace and Love and Fear of Life" is a fun-to-read collection of 22 illustrated works by Short-Short Story and Flash Fiction specialist, Guy Rowley. His imaginative voice and ironic humor will send you from down-to-earth to way, way out there; from real-life dragons to imaginary whales; from cops to counterculture; from geezer-hood to childhood, and from Armageddon to Shangri La. This is an exploration of fear as the motivator: the thumbtack on the chair that moves us to action, ignites our minds, and fills our hearts and lives.

Autorenporträt
Guy Rowley was born and raised in Parowan, Utah. He attended Southern Utah University, grew his hair down to his waist, hung out with the Art majors and back-to-nature crowd, and earned his BA in English Literature. He knew English Lit wasn't likely to earn him a living, but in those days he could live in a twenty-five dollar a month apartment on rice and gravy and dandelion greens. He spent a forty-year career as a Professional Land Surveyor in Utah and California, was married and divorced twice, and gained two stepsons and a daughter to love. He is no longer skinny and is recently retired and living in Palm Desert, California, hiking, reading, writing, volunteering, and eating popcorn at the movies. A few of guy's poems and stories were published at SUU and he has recently won several writing competitions with his flash fiction. This is his first published collection.
