Autorenporträt
Alessandro Franchi is Professor of Pathology at the University of Florence, Italy. Since starting his career as a surgical pathologist, he has focused on the field of head and neck pathology. He has authored and co-authored 70 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals on this topic, as well as a number of book chapters. He has contributed to several chapters of the 4th Edition of the WHO Classification of Head and Neck Tumors, and is a co-editor of the book "Pathology of the Head and neck 2nd edition (Springer, in production). He has given more than 200 presentations at national and international congresses.  Professor Franchi is a member of several societies. He is past-Chairman of the Head and Neck Working Group of the European Society of Pathology (ESP).
