WSSV is a major pathogen which causes severe loss to the aquaculture industry around the world. WSSV has a broad host range, high infectivity, and causes high mortality. This book provides pathogenicity, diagnosis, pathological changes, protein expression patterns, alterations in the antioxidant and membrane bound enzymes activity of WSSV infected P. monodon. The protein expression patterns of the infected tissues of P. monodon have been drastically altered by WSSV infection. Produktbeschreibung
The activity of detoxifying enzymes in P. monodon infected with WSSV estimates the capability of the virally infected cells. The ethanolic extract of the crude and purified compound Bis(2-methylheptyl)phthalate from the leaves of P. pinnata an Indian medicinal plant effectively inhibited WSSV pathogenesis and reduced the mortality of infected shrimp.
