In addition, the book presents case studies that include surveys, monitoring, and simulation of residential buildings in Spain and other Southern European representative locations, in order to go further on the study of this challenging topic.

Autorenporträt
Aurora Monge-Barrio is a PhD Architect, Researcher and Associate Professor at the School of Architecture, University of Navarra (Spain). She teaches in the Architecture Degree and in the Master's Degree in Environmental Design and Management of Buildings, MDGAE. Her research interests include Passive Architecture in new building and in refurbishment, considering the effects of climate and climate change in vulnerable populations. Ana Sánchez-Ostiz is an Associate Professor and Vice Dean at the School of Architecture, University of Navarre (Spain), where she teaches graduate and postgraduate classes. She is also the director of the Master of Environmental Design and Building Management (MDGAE) and leads the Research Group SAVIArchitecture. Her areas of expertise are design and construction of façades and roofs, new building technologies, pathology and rehabilitation of buildings, eco design in building, quantification of sustainable architecture. In these areas, she has workedon 23 national and international research projects.
