The study of 'Palyno-taxonomy of some selected taxa of family Aytoniaceae Cavers', has been presented in this book. The study includes palyno-taxonomy of seven species of Asterella Beauv. The morphological characteristics of sporoderm and elateroderm have been given. The next sections include description, discussion and conclusion of investigated taxa of family Aytoniaceae. The structure of spores and elaters of the plants collected from various localities of the country have been provided. The specimens examined are located in the Hepatic herbarium, Department of Botany, Lucknow University, Lucknow (LWU). The present title is an effort to make available authentic and standard study material related to Palynology of selected taxa of order Marchantiales.

Mr. Naveen Sahu, M. Phil., has been engaged in teaching and research in the field of bryology from last 10 years. He had completed his M. Phil. in Botany (Bryology) under the supervision of Prof. S. C. Srivastava, Department of Botany, University of Lucknow. He also served as Head, Department of Botany, Eram Degree College, Lucknow (India).
