He promoted as an Associate Professor of Radiochemistry in 2006 as well as Professor of Inorganic and Radiochemistry in 2011 at hot labs center in the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority. He has been a Professor at King Khalid University, Abha, KSA from 2011 up till now. He has supervised 4 PhD and 16 MSc in field of Radioactive and Wastewater treatment.He has published two chapters in the following books "Natural Gas - Extraction to End Use" and "Advances in Petrochemicals" and Editor for four books under titles; Uranium, New trends in Nuclear Sciences, Lanthanides and Dyes in Industry. His main research topic is studies on extraction of Uranium and Thorium From mineral samples. This book is including all scientific production and scientific activities reported by professor Awwad.
