This story is about a cat, whose name is Oscar. He is no ordinary cat, or so he thinks. He tells his own story about how his curiosity introduces him to a world of footwear that he didn't previously know existed. Oscar is a very pretentious cat and feels that he doesn't quite fit in. He is thought of and seen as an ordinary cat living with an ordinary family. They are a family of four-Mary, the mother; Julian, the father; and their two children, Marcus and Charmaine. The family loves and takes good care of Oscar. But as the children grow up, they outgrow him. Oscar first becomes interested in footwear when Mary, feeling unfulfilled in her role as a mother, decides to set up her own design studio at home, designing shoes and boots. They fascinate Oscar; he loves the smell and the feel of them and greatly desires to have a pair of his own.
Autorenporträt
Sharon is a proud mother of three amazing young men and has been a primary school teacher for many years. She has been writing for some time and has had several pieces of work in print, but this is her first published book. Her writing has taken on many forms, including an entry in a local housing association's annual review, a biography about her hair on a website, and customer reviews for a well-known shopping channel for many years. She enjoyed many years of reading stories to her own children whilst they were growing up, seeing them transfixed by the imaginary world the books created, and still enjoys reading to the children in her class. She has also been a CEO of a social enterprise that encouraged children to do their best. Whilst in this role, she has taken part in many community-based projects, been nominated for a number of awards, and served as an ambassador for the city she lives in. Sharon is passionate about encouraging children to do their best, so after a few personal challenges, she decided that it was time to pursue her own dream. The publication of this book is the beginning of that dream.
