Oscar Baylin Goodman (born July 26, 1939) is an American lawyer and politician. He was the mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada from 1999 to 2011. Mayor Goodman is an Independent and a former member of the Democratic Party. Goodman was born to a Jewish family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the Haverford School in Haverford, PA in 1957 and then matriculated at Haverford College, from which he graduated in 1961. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1964.
