Seminar paper from the year 2019 in the subject Engineering - Communication Technology, grade: A, Monash University Malaysia, Sunway Campus (APU), course: Mechatronics, language: English, abstract: Communication systems play a pivotal role in human life, serving as the conduits for information exchange across diverse realms. This paper delves into the intricacies of communication systems, categorizing them based on power efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and wide-band efficiency. Building on the seminal work of Hanzo, Webb, and Keller (2000), the study emphasizes the fundamental components of sender and receiver within communication systems, crucial for both analog and digital transmissions. The research focuses on the practical implementation of communication systems, employing Simulink as a powerful software tool. The study employs a comprehensive block diagram to illustrate the core components of a Communication System, emphasizing the critical role of Simulink in simulating and controlling analog communication systems. Through this approach, the paper investigates key characteristics such as bandwidth, frequency, and waveform, providing insights into baseband, modulation cases, and construction scenarios. The integration of Simulink facilitates a deeper understanding of the system's behavior and performance, offering valuable implications for optimizing analog communication systems in real-world applications.
Autorenporträt
My name is Bandar Naji Ali Hezam, and I am from Yemen. Growing up, I was always interested in technology and how things worked. However, my parents did not have any background in engineering, so it was up to me to explore this interest on my own. After completing my secondary education in Yemen, I decided to pursue a degree in mechatronics engineering at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation. I was attracted to this field because it combines mechanical, electronic, and computer engineering, and I knew that it would provide me with a solid foundation in a wide range of technical skills. Studying at Asia Pacific University was an enriching experience. I met people from all over the world, and I was exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking. The program was challenging, but I enjoyed every moment of it. I learned about the principles of mechanics, electronics, and computing, and how they all come together to create complex systems. After graduating with my degree, I decided to pursue a Master's degree in Business Administration at University of Cyberjaya. I wanted to expand my knowledge beyond the technical aspects of engineering and learn more about business and management. The program was rigorous, but it gave me a deep understanding of finance, marketing, organizational behavior, and other important business topics. With my education and skills, I started my career as a mechatronics engineer. I have worked for several companies over the years, designing and developing complex systems for a variety of industries. I have always been passionate about my work, and I have enjoyed every project that I have worked on. In my free time, I like to read books and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in technology and engineering. I also like to travel and experience new cultures and ways of life. Looking back on my life so far, I am proud of what I have accomplished. As someone who did not have any background in engineering in my family, I am particularly proud of my achievements. I hope to continue to learn and grow as an engineer and as a person, and to make a positive impact in the world.
