Development of underwater SONAR system as well as its supporting system is a key area of research for defense, naval engineering and ocean surveys engineering especially when in use in rough sea conditions. This work is further being worked out and it is expected that new findings would be available in the coming years.

His areas of interests include; micro and nanoindentation, mechanics of advanced manufacturing materials,methods of mechanical testing,viscoelastic and plastic deformation, degradation in materials, additive manufacturing, engineering optimisation and computational materials science.
