This project encapsulates the calculations for the proper positioning and strut design of the landing gear in a particular aircraft. The positioning is based on criteria such as the Tip-back angle and Overturn angle. Once the positioning of the nose and main landing gears are fixed, the loads on the landing gears are calculated. Then depending upon the choice of shock absorber and the loading conditions suitable sizing of the strut and the tire are designed.
