But long periods of using a computer can increase chances of developing an injury. Inappropriate computer uses or awkward position can cause muscle or joint pain and other injuries. Therefore, awareness regarding workstation ergonomics is important among office workers to reduce the incidence of computer-related injuries and absenteeism of workers because of sicknesses or disability.
