Autorenporträt
Kelsey Harrison, ein Geburtshelfer und Gynäkologe, wurde am University College Ibadan und am University College Hospital London ausgebildet. Er lehrte unter anderem an der Universität Ibadan, der Ahmadu Bello University und der Universität Port Harcourt, wo er Rektor wurde. Seine Arbeit über das Kinderkriegen unter ungünstigen sozioökonomischen Bedingungen fand allgemeine Anerkennung.
