He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology/Anthropology and a Master's degree in Education. He worked for several years as a counselor and administrator in colleges and universities, as well as in a career consultant capacity with his own business, assisting individuals and groups with personal and professional goals. He served many years as a volunteer in education and church settings. His personal experiences have included many moments of joy, grief, uncertainty, and love, leading him to a special relationship with God.
