One Direction ist eine britisch-irische Boygroup mit den fünf Mitgliedern Niall, Louis, Liam, Harry und Zayn, die bei der britischen Casting-Show The X-Factor 2010 den dritten Platz belegten. Zu Beginn traten sie als Einzelkandidaten an, wurden dann aber zu einer Gruppe zusammengebracht. Nach dem Ende der Show unterschrieben sie einen Plattenvertrag bei Sony Music. Seitdem hat die Band drei erfolgreiche Alben herausgebracht, wovon die letzten beiden (Take Me Home und Midnight Memories) die Top 10 der Albumcharts in Deutschland erreichten.
