Join the authors of "On Vermont Time ..." on a journey through life in the Green Mountains of Vermont. One minute it's the 1950's and the next it is present day. Each writer, poet, photographer and artist explores the many aspects of everyday life living in Vermont. They share stories of their escapades as kids; stories about growing up and even more stories as they live through adulthood and encourage the next generation of Vermonters. Even the photos found scattered throughout give you a bird's-eye view of life in the second largest state in New England ... home to the best Maple Syrup, Cheese, Wines, Local Brews and much, much more. Oh and yes we can't forget the best skiing anywhere. As you read this book you'll have a chance to laugh, maybe to cry, but most importantly to feel like you're a part of the trip. All ... "On Vermont Time ..." Here's what others have said about "On Vermont Time ..." "Timothy Stetson has done something truly remarkable here. He has taken regional writing and brought it into sharper focus, creating an anthology that could almost be called "Neighborhood Writing". Here we find an intimacy and appreciation of place that could only be expressed by insiders: real small town Vermonters." -- Joseph A. Citro, author of Green Mountains, Dark Tales and Passing Strange "Your essays are like love letters to Vermont ..." -- Lesli Blount, Williston, VT
Autorenporträt
Timothy G. Stetson is a Vermont native who was born in Richford and after a short (10 year) stint in northern New York now lives in Enosburg Falls with his wife Kathy and his family. He is the Regional Disaster Program Officer for the American Red Cross in Vermont and the New Hampshire Upper Valley Region. Tim is also an ordained minister and is the Pastor of New Life Christian Church of West Berkshire, Vermont; a church that along with his wife and a team of leaders he helped plant in 2007. In addition to his work in disaster response and the ministry, Tim is a small business owner; a Gospel Music Recording Artist; performs in a Gospel Music Duo - The Stetsons; and has written two original Christian musicals for the theatre stage. Both he and his wife Kathy have been actively involved in Community Theater and many other event production projects for many years. He stays very active in many other community organizations and projects. In his 30 plus year career with the Red Cross he has traveled around the country working on some of the nation's largest disaster operations. As much as he has loved traveling to all of these places, he still loves to come home to Vermont which is why he started compiling all of the stories about the state that are found in this book.
