Omar is about a kindergarten student that has autism. He talks about what he does at school, what he enjoys eating, and other stuff. His ultimate goal is to show other students that he's much like them in many ways. Even though he doesn't know how to speak well, thinks differently, and takes longer to learn, he's still brilliant. There's no need to be afraid of him because he's autistic.

Autorenporträt
About the Author I've been Ming-Xing since my summer visit to China in 2014. Unfortunately, I am not a native to China but to the Bronx, New York. I was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. Writing, fashion, and basically anything that requires creativity is of high interest to me. I attended Grambling State University but got my degree in fashion design from the International Academy of Design and Technology. Since graduating I found it hard to pursue a career in fashion design, so I became a substitute teacher. All the students I have ever taught inspired me greatly, especially the autistic ones. In fact, they have inspired me so much that I decided to write a series of children's books about autism, starting with my first book, Omar. About the Illustrator Jelly, a Chinese girl, grew up in a coastal city. Everything novel and beautiful is her favorite, except painting. She also likes photography and singing. She is seeking for such a life: keeping a few pets, tasting cake with family and friends, hanging out in some beautiful cities, capturing amazing moments with camera and pen.
