Early detection and management can help on the one hand, to reduce perinatal morbidity and mortality and, on the other hand, to reduce caesarean deliveries. To study the incidence and causes of oligohydramnios during pregnancy, its effects on maternal and perinatal outcomes, calculate the amniotic fluid index (AFI), find out the causes and maternal age group of having oligohydramnios, APGAR score, possible correlation between diet and oligohydramnios; stress and oligohydramnios. It is a hospital based, prospective, observational study conducted for a period of 6 months (November 2014 to April 2015) with a sample size (N=880) in third trimester, of which 80 participants were with oligohydramnios were selected after satisfying inclusion and exclusion criteria.
