It is for this reason that this study on the care of the elderly by the NGO WAWE in South Kivu is of the utmost importance. The aim of this study is to determine the contribution of the non-governmental organization WAWE in improving the living conditions of the elderly in the city of Bukavu. To achieve this objective, a survey was carried out in the city of Bukavu, with the main target being the people cared for by the NGO WAWE. The results showed that the majority of people surveyed were aged between 60 and 69, representing 48.2% of the total, followed by those aged between 70 and 79 (14.9%) and those aged between 50 and 59 (11.4%). In old age, health becomes more fragile and the body suffers from the effects of aging.
