Hired as curator of the Wood County Museum in 2012, Holly Hartlerode Kirkendall is a graduate of Kent State University and holds a master's degree in public history from the University of Toledo. Under her curatorial direction, Kirkendall has secured four awards honoring the exhibit For Comfort & Convenience, including the Ohio Local History Alliance and Ohio Museum's Association Best Exhibit award, 2019; the Ohio State Historic Preservation Office Public Education and Awareness Award, 2019; and the American Association for State and Local History Leadership in History Award, 2020.
