So the rich biodiversity of Manipur with rare and endemic flora and fauna are in the status of critically threatened one, because of the climatic changes, human anthropogenic factors and other environmental factors thereby, the natural homes are disturbed. As in case of Sangai, the deer is herbivore, it depends on the food plants available on the Phumdi habitat. So it is necessary to conserve Sangai.
